Arlula Partners with Wyvern to Enhance Access to First Commercial Hyperspectral Imagery
Arlula is pleased to announce its partnership with Canadian space data company Wyvern, the leading provider of commercial high-resolution hyperspectral satellite imagery.
Wyvern’s Dragonette constellation, the first of its kind on the commercial market, consists of three low-earth orbit satellites, capable of capturing 5.3 metre GSD hyperspectral imaging data across many narrow spectral bands. With a current constellation of three satellites and three additional satellites on the way, Wyvern is prepared to support customers’ hyperspectral data needs for years to come.
This collaboration empowers users to access high-resolution, analysis-ready hyperspectral data to reveal the hidden reality of planet Earth. Hyperspectral data captured by the Dragonette constellation enables identification of unique chemical and physical properties of the Earth’s surface. Using Dragonette data, users can identify and take action on issues such as vegetation stress, invasive species, forest fire fuel grid analysis, mine reclamation, plus many more.
“We are excited to welcome Wyvern as the first hyperspectral imagery provider on the Arlula platform” said Sebastian Chaoui, CEO at Arlula. “Their dedication to delivering high-resolution hyperspectral imagery aligns with our goal of providing access to high-quality Earth observation data. Together, we can empower users to unlock new insights and opportunities with hyperspectral data.”
The shared commitment to providing accessible and innovative Earth observation data lies at the centre of this partnership. Together, Wyvern and Arlula streamline access to the first commercially available hyperspectral imagery, supporting a diverse range of customers in government, agriculture, mining and environment to harness the power of hyperspectral satellite imagery.
“We look forward to working with Arlula to improve access to hyperspectral data,” said Thomas VanMatre, Chief Revenue Officer at Wyvern. “The Australian market is arguably the most mature in terms of hyperspectral data adoption. We believe hyperspectral data can make a large impact across many industries in Australia and beyond, and the availability of our data on the Arlula platform means more people will have access.”
This partnership unlocks the ability to task Wyvern’s hyperspectral satellites through the Arlula platform, seamlessly integrating high-resolution hyperspectral imagery into existing workflows, systems, and processes.
