Senior Back End Software Engineer (NV1)

Build and ship systems that automate satellite operations, process vast geospatial datasets, and support real-world missions.

We're looking for a motivated senior back end software engineer who is genuinely excited about building technology that transforms how we observe our planet from space. This is not your average tech role. You'll design and deliver systems that automate satellite operations, process large-scale geospatial datasets, and support real-world missions spanning defence, climate, and commercial applications. Working alongside our multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and developers, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your technical expertise, domain knowledge, and collaborative approach.

Tackle challenges across the full satellite imagery and geospatial data pipeline, from discovery and distribution through to analysis, visualisation, commercialisation, and operational management.

This role exposes you to the broad spectrum of applications for spatial data, as you work with seasoned professionals to develop and research new capabilities that unlock geospatial use cases. You'll address the complexities of data acquisition, management, and analysis through hands-on research, development, and implementation.
