Product Manager

Arlula is seeking a Product Manager to work directly with the CEO and take ownership of execution across our product suite.

Arlula is small, scaling fast, and building infrastructure relied on for climate and national security resilience. We provide the infrastructure that connects sensors in space to the people and algorithms that use that data on the ground. Our Earth Observation Data Infrastructure (EODI) automates how satellite and drone imagery is captured, processed, and delivered across commercial and sovereign constellations, allowing organisations to move from satellite tasking to actionable intelligence in minutes. We work with commercial, defence, intelligence and government customers globally, delivering highly technical data engineering and geospatial products across multi-tenant SaaS, private cloud, and on‑prem environments. This is critical infrastructure, not a dashboard toy.

The challenge

You’ll be working with complex geospatial systems, strict security and reliability requirements, and customers who run critical operations on top of our platform. You’ll take ownership of a product suite operating under real constraints and tight timelines where your actions will have an outsized impact. If you want to solve technically hard problems and build systems that genuinely matter, this is your arena.

The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Product Manager to work directly with the CEO and take ownership of execution across our product suite. You will sit at the intersection of customers, engineering, and operations, turning complex, real‑world requirements into deployed, operational software. You’ll help shape the long‑term product vision, but your primary job is to turn the roadmap into reality, shipping features that work in demanding customer environments.

You will partner closely with the CEO on direction and priorities, then own requirement gathering and product of Arlula’s platform across defence, government, and commercial contexts. If you want genuine ownership, high autonomy, and a clear pathway to product leadership in a deeply technical domain, this is the role.

Role type: Full time.
Location: Sydney/Hybrid

What You’ll Deliver

First 6 months

  • Own and execute Arlula’s product roadmap in partnership with the CEO, with a focus on getting features into production environments.
  • Translate customer, defence, and operational requirements into clear product specs that engineering can build from.
  • Drive delivery of complex data engineering and geospatial products from concept through deployment across SaaS, private cloud, and on‑prem.
  • Support configuration and rollout of the platform into technical customer environments, working closely with operations.

6-24 months

  • Standardise product delivery and workflows so the platform can scale repeatedly across multiple customers and regions.
  • Ensure the product suite meets the certification, assurance, and compliance bar required for defence and government use cases.
  • Continuously lift product robustness, usability, and operational performance.
  • Help evolve Arlula’s product vision and structure, growing into a full product leadership role as the team expands.

What You Bring

Essential

  • 3+ years in product management or closely related roles.
  • Strong self‑starter mindset: you take ownership, move fast, and don’t wait to be told what to do.
  • Experience with complex, technical products (APIs, data platforms, infrastructure, or geospatial systems).
  • Experience building product with cloud infrastructure technologies,
  • Comfortable working closely with engineers and discussing technical trade‑offs.
  • Track record of delivering products into real operational environments, not just prototypes or proofs of concept.
  • Clear communicator who can work directly with customers, engineers, and executives.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential, even if you haven’t formally managed people yet.

Highly regarded

  • Experience in rapid prototyping with AI tools.
  • Experience with geospatial data, satellite imagery, or Earth observation workflows.
  • Exposure to defence, government, or other regulated or secure environments.
  • Familiarity with on‑prem deployments, and / or secure system architectures.

Why Join Us?

  • Shape how critical space‑to‑ground infrastructure is built, deployed, and scaled globally.
  • Work directly with the CEO to make fast decisions, have direct impact, and genuine ownership of outcomes.
  • Grow into senior product leadership as Arlula and the product organisation scale.
  • Operate in a space where the technical bar is high and the work actually matters to national security, climate resilience, and commercial operations.
